The Sportsbetting Bill C-290 Is Still Being Pushed by Reformers in Canada

Bill C-290 is a Senate issue that just doesn’t seem to want to die. This bill, if passed, will make single game Sportsbetting legal at online gambling sites in Canada. Brian Masske, who is the MP for Windsor West is one of the major supporters of the Bill, and he has said that, “They need to deal with the fact that the House of Commons, the elected members of this country, voted in favour of creating a law to allow single-event sportsbetting to exist in provinces that choose that.”

If Bill C-290 ever comes in to effect, then it will make the local provincial governments in Canada decide for themselves whether single game Sportsbetting would be allowed via online gambling sites.
